Context
1 out of 5 people in the world has psychological issues such as stress, insomnia, anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder. The world is in imminent need of better mental health practices in the workplace.
Before COVID the need was imminent. Now, the need is urgent. Increased pressure on the workplace, financial uncertainty, global health crisis, personal circumstances and information overload require a change in current dynamics. It is a critical moment for everyone: changes in routines, health concerns, uncertainty, fear and lockdown.
To address the most imminent needs in mental health we need new spaces and experiences to overcome stress, depression, exhaustion, lack of vitality and other psychological problems.
Traditional drug-supported medicine often offers a reactionary response to people's psychological symptoms. Often these treatments become unsustainable as they rarely integrate lifestyle or psychosocial, spiritual or emotional aspects.
Yoga, mindfulness and meditation have been shown to be an effective way to reduce stress and promote general health - physical and mental. It's backed by science and healthcare professionals. It helps reduce chronic pain, stimulates the immune system response, regulates blood pressure, improves flexibility and balance, fights depression, improves sleep quality and heart health.
